The teacher who caused mass panic when he fired a gun at a Georgia high school had been the subject of multiple police reports in recent years. including one instance where he told officers he had killed a woman.
Jesse Randal Davidson, 53, was arrested on Wednesday after he barricaded himself inside a classroom at Dalton High School and fired a handgun through the window.
The social studies teacher was taken into custody after a 45-minute standoff with police and later refused to discuss what led to the shooting.
In the aftermath of the incident, the school's principal Steve Bartoo described Davidson as an 'excellent teacher' who was well thought of, and 'as far as I know he was fit to be at work.' Source
