A German teenager who ran away to join ISIS may yet face the death penalty, Iraq's Prime Minister has warned.
Linda Wenzel was dragged from the rubble in Mosul as Iraqi forces liberated the city in July and is now being held in Baghdad where her fate rests in the hands of the country's court system.
The 16-year-old, who left her home in Pulsnitz, eastern Germany, last year to join the terror group, is desperate to return to Europe amid fears she could spend years in jail.
But Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has now said Iraq's judiciary will decide if the teenager will face the death penalty.
'You know teenagers under certain laws, they are accountable for their actions especially if the act is a criminal activity when it amounts to killing innocent people,' al-Abadi said. Daily Mail>>>>>

UK terror threat level raised to 'critical' after London Tube explosion
London (CNN)The terror threat level in the United Kingdom has been raised from "severe" to "critical," Prime Minister Theresa May announced late Friday, following an explosion earlier on one of the city's Underground trains.
A major manhunt is underway in London for suspects in what police are calling a terrorist incident.
At least 29 people were injured. None of the injured are thought to be in a serious or life-threatening condition, according to the London Ambulance Service, which took 19 of the injured to hospitals.
Ten others went to hospitals on their own.
Most of the injuries appear to be the result of flash burns, according to local authorities. CNN
Police have identified the Parsons Green Tube bomber using CCTV after this morning's terror attack but the investigation has been overshadowed by an extraordinary diplomatic row triggered by Donald Trump.
The US President tweeted just hours after the rush hour blast that police had the attacker 'in their sights' and should have been 'more proactive' in catching 'the loser'.
Yet Scotland Yard hit back and said Mr Trump's comments were 'pure speculation' while senior officers refused to name the suspect.
Officers are hunting for the terror suspect across London amid claims he could be armed and may have planted other explosive devices.
His crude bomb hidden in a builder's bucket could have killed dozens but failed to properly detonate and sent a 'wall of fire' through the carriage at Parsons Green injuring at least 29 people including a ten-year-old boy.
A timer is understood to have been found on the device, sugges…
