Offices at the Daily Mail were evacuated after a "suspicious package" was delivered to the newspaper's offices. 

Staff at the Daily Mail and Metro in Northcliffe House in Kensington, west London were told to leave their desks at around lunchtime on Monday. But police confirmed that the evacuation was a false alarm and said no arrests had been made."Officers have established that the item found in Derry Street, W8 is non-suspicious. No arrests made," said Kensington and Chelsea police. Baz Bamigboye, the newspaper's entertainment columnist, tweeted: "Staff told to leave editorial floor as police test mysterious 'white powder' sent in post." Police were in attendance at the building after the discovery of a "suspicious package", a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police told The Independent.



Daily Mail Offices Evacuated after ‘Suspicious White Powder’ Sent to Paper

The London offices of the Daily Mail and Metro newspapers were evacuated Monday afternoon after a suspect package containing “white powder” was discovered. Police told staff at the newspapers to leave their offices at Northcliffe House on High Street Kensington after the powder was sent to the Daily Mail news room. A spokeswoman for London’s Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 12.20pm on Monday, November 14 to reports of a suspicious package at a building in Kensington High Street. “Borough officers from Kensington and Chelsea, supported by specialist Met officers, are currently in attendance. “A limited evacuation has taken place in one area of the building. “Enquiries continue.” Staff were later allowed back into the offices shortly after 2pm GMT, with local police concluding the package was “non-suspicious”. Fort Lauderdale: TRUMP Supporter Ex-Cop John Henry Kiernan Knocks Out Parking Valet Over $3.00 Charge

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WFLA) — A valet is battling serious injuries after police say he was punched by a customer outside of a Florida resort earlier this week. Surveillance video captured the whole incident on camera outside the Ocean Sky Hotel and Resort in Fort Lauderdale. Hotel guest John Henry Kiernan can be seen talking to the valet, Rudolph Rodriguez. Suddenly, Kiernan punches Rodriguez in the face and knocks him to the ground. Both of the men said the dispute stemmed from a parking charge. Kiernan told our NBC affiliate in the area that Rodriguez was disrespectful and wanted to fight. According to NBC Miami, Kiernan told police he was a former officer and said he felt in danger for his safety and struck first. Kiernan was not arrested, and he has not been charged. Police say they will wait for the State Attorney’s Office to pursue charges. Rodriguez suffered serious injuries, but is expected to fully recover. The hotel manager says he wants Kiernan arrested.Source
