Poem In Praise Of Cop Killer Micah Johnson By Paul Reshard

Paul Reshard
Since the media is trying to bury him, I'M ABOUT TO PRAISE HIM!!
MICAH JOHNSON
I wanted to tell you, what you did was true
Due to the fact of how your people were treated by boys in blue
Our people were getting killed everyday, and you felt the dismay
You did what you had to do, because of no retribution
While knowing damn well, we didn't fall under this constitution!!
WITH NO ROOM TO FIGHT
YOU GAVE IT ALL OF YOUR MIGHT!!
TRYING TO DO WHAT WAS RIGHT!!
YOUR PEOPLE WERE LOSING HOPE, AND COULDN'T COPE
You brought a way of some relief
For those in grief
You made some heart's lighter
Due to the fact, that you were a fighter
I wanted to take time out to recognize you
You brought a lot of hope, to black people feeling blue
If you could have saw the JOY on some of our faces
Yet it was so wrong, to other races
They don't understand the heat we feel being black
May as well tell all of them to step the hell back
With NOTHING BUT LOVE MY DEAR BROTHER, I HONOR YOU!!
REST WELL WITH THE ANCESTORS MY BROTHER, WE STILL HAVE WORK TO DO!!
— with Charles E Nelson Jr, Victoria Maswanganyi, Colin Calvin and Geronimo Wilder
