Violence Erupts As Poland Marks Independence Day

Tens of thousands of far-right activists – including members of Hungary’s far-right Jobbik movement and Italy’s neo-facist Forza Nuova – took part yesterday in Poland’s annual Independence March, which has become increasingly dominated by radical movements, according to The Financial Times. In previous years, small groups had broken off from the march and attacked public art installations representing more centrist political views, as well as the Russian embassy, the FT said, noting that public opinion is against accepting more migrants.
