Stockpiler Of Weapons Kyle Lambrose Shoots Himself In Front Of Wife & Kids After Taking Them Hostage

Stockpiler Of Weapons Kyle Lambrose

A man shot himself dead in front of his wife and three young children during a standoff with police after taking his family hostage inside their Utah home. Kyle Lambrose had not been killed by an officer, as was initially reported, but from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, West Jordan police revealed Friday. Lambrose, 27, was coming into the room where his wife Andrea and their three children, a 7-year-old girl and boys aged 4 and 3, armed with a handgun when West Jordan Police Sergeant Mitch Soper intervened........

'From what I understand, he was just despondent,' the officer continued. 'Life wasn't going right for him, things weren't going the way he thought they should go.' Andrea Lambrose called police on Wednesday after her husband uncharacteristically pulled their three children out of school early before she immediately headed home. Lambrose barricaded the family inside the house, with obstacles strategically placed on the stairway to stop officers from entering, Diamond said. 'There was a mattress over his front door. Then he had several weapons and ammunition ready for a gunfight in different places in the house.' When Soper arrived at the home he tried to convince Lambrose to let his family leave the house and to get help. 'You're having a bad day, we all have those' he can be heard on a recording picked up from his microphone. 'Your kids need you. We want to give you the help that you need. We don't want you to get hurt.' Police found three loaded guns placed around the house after the shooting. Diamond said Lambrose didn't trust police and believed 'with the recent media attention to shootings... that police were not being held accountable'. Daily Mail Read More>>>>>
