A New York widow and mother of four has pleaded not guilty to killing her farmer husband, who was struck with a pitchfork, shot in the head and buried in a pile of manure.
Wyoming County District Attorney Donald O'Geen said 48-year-old Charlene Mess appeared Thursday in county court for her arraignment and was ordered held on $1million bail.
