The husband of model Katie Cleary shot himself dead at a shooting range where two other men have taken their life in the last five years, Mail Online can exclusively reveal. Andrew Stern, 40, shot himself in the head at the Target Range in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, around midday on Sunday. The entrepreneur was transported to hospital in a critical condition and he later died, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. A LAFD spokesperson told MailOnline: 'We did respond. We did transport one adult male in a critical condition to an area hospital. It was just after noon on Sunday June 22. He was treated and transported in a critical condition.' The spokesperson added that a fire crew and a paramedic ambulance were sent to the scene. shockingly it appears this is the third shooting death at the firing range in the last five years with one man killing himself there just 10 weeks ago. According to local reports a man in his 50s shot himself in the chest at the indoor shooting range on April 6. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, according to CBS LA. And in November 2009 a man in his 30s was reportedly wounded at the range and died at hospital about two hours later, an archive Los Angeles Daily News report says. Interviews with the couple's friends revealed Stern was 'suffering significant stress over marital problems' and had a history of depression, TMZ reported, while others said he had financial strains. Cleary and Stern, who had appeared on Bravo's dating show Millionaire Matchmaker before marrying the model in 2010, were also said to be in the process of getting a divorce.
